Hurricane Harvey Relief

As you are aware, relief efforts are making their way to Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. One of the areas particularly hard hit was Beaumont, where one of our church members grew up and family still resides.

A few church members are planning a trip down to see how they can help and this gives us an opportunity to put action behind our prayers by sending necessities with them.

We have a truck to haul supplies and we need your help to fill it.

We also have a partnership with two local churches in Orange, Texas to manage distribution of emergency aid.

Please bring:

  • Toiletries

  • Insect repellent spray

  • Diapers (child and adult)

  • Socks

  • Underwear

  • Basic clothing items

  • Bottled water

  • Non-perishable food items

  • Shovels (for mud-out)

  • Gift cards from big box stores (WalMart, Lowes, Home Depot)

Recommended Donations: Gift cards are preferred because they are small and we have limited truck space. If you would like to donate a physical object, please consider insect repellent spray, like the gift cards this is small and we can bring a lot, also this is projected to be a big need in Texas. Please remember, donations of any item are welcome!

Beginning Sunday, September 3, please bring your donations and place them in the designated boxes in the gym lobby.

Tentative Departure Date: Monday, September 11.

Please also continue to pray for the safety and well-being of those affected and those providing relief.
